それからAKB48の38thシングル選抜発表。

And then, the announcement of senbatsu for AKB48's 38th single.

まどちゃんと一緒に帰ってる時に聞きました。
まどちゃんが選抜入りしてるって聞いて、
でも、まだ正式に連絡が来てなかったから
「えーうそー？うそ？どいうことなんだろう？」って慌てて。

I heard the news with Madoka-chan as we were returning.

We learned that Madoka-chan was going to be in the senbatsu,

but because she had yet to be contacted officially, we were still confused. 

"Eh~ Is that a lie~? You're lying. What do you mean?"

わかってからは、一緒に喜びました。
シングルでいろんな思いもあっただろうから
素直に嬉しかったなぁ。

After it was clarified, we celebrated together.

I have various thoughts about the single,

but honestly, I'm elated.

本当にびっくり。

って強く思いました。

that's what I feel really strongly.


私は、まだまだ
足りないところがいっぱいです。

There's still a lot of areas

in which I'm not good enough.

応援して下さる皆さんにいい報告ができなくて。。
ちゃんと結果を残せるように
実力をつけます。
劇場公演、握手会、コンサート、
チャンスはたくさんあるので、
一つ一つを大切に頑張ります。

I don't have any good news to report to the people that support me...

In order to see more results,

I will show my true power.

No matter if it's performances in the theater, handshake events, concerts,

there are chances everywhere,

so I'll treat each one carefully and give it my all.

そして、やっぱり選抜に入りたい！
